Coin - sixpence

A lucky sixpence from 1959, although by this time thery weren't made of silver any more. The tail side bears the leek, rose, thistle and shamrock symbolic of the British Isles, named the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in 1922. The flora on a London coin could be a tangle of Buddleia, Dandelion, Nettle and Moss. Cultivated, decorative, wild, unrelenting, nutritious, practical, hardy and multicultural.
